The Lochaline Snack Bar

Grab a cuppa and a quick snack when you are in the queue for The Ferry to The Isle of Mull from Lochaline. The Lochaline Snack Bar is ideally located and offers hot and cold take away snacks as well as having a small indoor dining area and picnic benches outside. A carry out service is also available on Friday evenings with offerings such as beef stew, chicken korma, fisherman's pie and cod & chips.

 

 

 

The Whitehouse Restaurant

The Whitehouse is an award winning restaurant in the village of Lochaline some 5 minutes walk from the ferry terminal to the Isle of Mull.

Fixed priced a la carte menus are served at both lunch and dinner services with two or three courses at lunch and four at dinner. Prices start from £33 for a two course lunch (2022) and the menu is designed to reflect the seasons using fresh locally sourced food from the hills and waters of Morvern and Mull. Booking is strongly advised as the restaurant is very popular with both locals and visitors.

Fiunary Caravan and Camping Park

Head out to this hideaway campsite overlooking the Sound of Mull to enjoy a relaxing holiday on the Morvern Peninsula. Make a wish at nearby Clach na Criche, or head out Drimnin way and take a trek over to Loch Teacuis and Loch Sunart in search of otters. The village of Lochaline is just three miles away or so, and has shop, post office, bars, restaurants and is the terminal for regular ferry sailings to Fishnish on The isle of Mull.

Delve into the history of the Highland clearances and listen to Mary's story at one of the interactive interpretation points as you walk around the deserted village of Aoineadh Mor. This Forestry Commission site a great place for a well signposted walk through the low hills of Morvern overlooking Loch Arienas.
