Aoineadh Mòr
Delve into the history of the Highland clearances and listen to Mary's story at one of the interactive interpretation points as you walk around the deserted village of Aoineadh Mor. This Forestry Commission site a great place for a well signposted walk through the low hills of Morvern overlooking Loch Arienas. You can continue along the wee minor road past Aoineadh Mor to Rahoy where you can walk or cycle along the shores of Loch Teacius all the way down to the shores of Loch Sunart.
There are picnic benches at the car park where you enjoy a picnic. There are also a number of viewpoints with benches on the walk around the village and through the woodland. Lochaline is the nearest village, some 6 miles away, where there is a shop, cafes, restaurant and public toilet facilities. Lochaline is also a ferry terminal for the Isle of Mull.
