The Bothy Bar and Restaurant at the Strontian Hotel
Strontian is famous as the village which gives its name to the element Strontium which was discovered in the hills above. The Strontian Hotel which dates back to the early 19th Century was the former mine mangers house now houses The Bothy Bar and Restaurant as well as the hotel. You can enjoy a bar snack in the informal and dog friendly Bothy Bar enjoying some wonderful views over Loch Sunart from the picture windows or dine in the more formal restaurant in the evenings. The menu includes a range of local produce and includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Booking is advised for the restaurant over the summer months. The Bothy Bar also hosts occasional traditional musical evenings so look out for those on our whats on page.
opening times
The Restaurant opens at 5.30pm in the Summer until around 8.30pm. The bar is open from 4.00pm in the Spring and Summer months on Friday, Saturday and Sunday . During the week the bar opens at 5.00pm.
